IFR Polyester Velour & FR Cotton Velour options – both compliant with NFPA 701 fire code.
IFR Poly has a higher initial cost, but offers a longer life span. It is rendered fire retardant at the chemical level and remains fire retardant throughout the curtains life. Water does not affect it and can be use for spot cleaning.
FR Cotton is treated with saline-based solution thru an immersion process. This solution will leech out over time and need retreatment. Fire retardant is affected by environmental conditions such as dust & humidity. Water is damaging & creates white stains.
